Marketing Specialist Opportunity

Cornerstone Municipal Advisory Group LLC is seeking a Marketing Specialist to assist with day-to-day marketing activities to promote the firm’s image and growth in the marketplace. This position requires excellent business writing, editing and proofreading skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities. The Marketing Specialist must be professional, polished, have a strong work ethic and a desire to expand skill sets. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask, think creatively, and have a team attitude. Previous experience in marketing is preferred.

Essential Functions:

This position will assist in:
• Email marketing
• Specialty projects
• Creating client specific marketing pieces
• Assist with Annual Client Conferences and any additional events
• Organizing internal communication and internal events
• Coordinate travel plans and events surrounding Association conferences
• Client mailings
• Prospect development
• Developing and maintaining website
• Social media content creation and management (using Google Analytics)
• Work with marketing contractor to facilitate and track blogs and articles distributed to designated contacts within CRM
• Video creation for wellness challenges and other marketing needs
• Develop/update power-point presentations
• Prepare materials for prospect meetings; assist with prospecting follow-up activities
• Requests for Proposals
• Sales support
• Creating printed materials
• Update MS Outlook and CRM (Zoho) with client and prospect contact information

Duties:

• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Publisher
• Extremely detail oriented, with excellent follow-through skills
• Ability to multi-task to manage time constraints and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal, public relations, written and verbal communication skills
• Professional demeanor
• Ability to stay on task and thrive in a dynamic and constantly changing environment
• Ability to reprioritize as necessary to meet last minute deadlines
• Highly motivated, results–oriented, creative, organized, and a team player
• Strong active listening skills to ensure you understand what others are saying and ability to ask appropriate questions
• Strong project management skills which include excellent problem-solving abilities

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing/Communications
3-5 years marketing experience
Proficient in maintaining CRM databases and marketing lists
Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
